The co-authors of the book Landscapes for the People: George Alexander Grant, First Chief Photographer of the National Park Service showed examples of Grant’s work and discussed his story with a National Park Service historian. From 1929 until his retirement in 1954, Grant created more than 30,000 photographs of national parks. The National Archives hosted this 2016 Park Service centennial event and provided the video. close
