Forty years ago, on March 30, 1981, John Hinckley, Jr. fired shots at President Ronald Reagan outside the Washington Hilton, including one that ricocheted off the limousine and struck the president. Former staffers and Secret Service agents who were there that day talked with Del Quentin Wilber, author of Rawhide Down: The Near Assassination of Ronald Reagan.
