Israel-Palestine Peace Agreement
Vice President Al Gore addressed a conference outlining the importance of the Middle East peace accord between Israel and Palestine. He talked about the military and financial support the U.S. and U.N. will provide to solidify the agreement. Secretary Warren Christopher reiterated the vice president’s remarks, noting the importance of Norway’s contribution to the peace process. The vice president announced that the U.S. will make available $500 million over the next five years to assist with peace efforts. close
