The Bipartisan Policy Center hosted a virtual discussion about mental health care policy and addressing mental health during and after the coronavirus pandemic. A bipartisan task force of health care advocates and policy experts discussed the findings of a report they recently produced addressing the issues surrounding mental health treatment. They talked about the importance of integrating primary care and mental health care, and they also discussed some of the barriers to treatment including a stigma surrounding mental health, a lack of providers, and the cost of integrating care. close
