Acting U.S. Capitol Police Chief Yogananda Pittman and Acting Washington, D.C., Police Chief Robert Contee briefed the press on a Capitol Hill incident in which a vehicle struck two U.S. Capitol police officers before slamming into a barricade. Chief Pittman announced that one of the police officers injured in the attack had died. The suspect was also pronounced dead on the scene. close
