General Dwight D. Eisenhower ordered that the horrors of the Holocaust be documented as World War II came to an end, determined that the evidence be preserved for future generations. It was a signature move by the man who later occupied the White House. His granddaughter, Susan Eisenhower, talked about what led Ike to this decision. She is the author of How Ike Led: The Principles Behind Eisenhower’s Biggest Decisions. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum hosted this conversation and provided the video. close
