Secretary of State Antony Blinken made an unannounced visit to Afghanistan, where he met with Afghan leaders and visited U.S. Embassy personnel. His visit came one day after President Biden announced he was withdrawing troops in Afghanistan by September 11, 2021. Following his meetings with leaders, Secretary Blinken held a news conference at the U.S. Embassy in Kabul. close
