Lawmakers and advocates testified on voting rights and the new Georgia election law at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing. The first panel included testimony by Senator Raphael Warnock (D-GA) and Representative Burgess Owens (R-UT). Following their remarks, the committee received testimony from state officials and voting rights advocates, including Fair Fight Action Founder Stacey Abrams and Georgia House of Representatives Speaker Pro Tempore Jan Jones (R). They were questioned by lawmakers on the implications of the new Georgia voting law. close
