U.S. Capitol Police Inspector General Michael Bolton testified before the House Administration Committee on his report on the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. He spoke about the need to hire more Capitol police and the importance of employee retention. He also discussed the need for basic intelligence training among the Capitol police force, deficiencies in leadership, and the lack of governing authority over the U.S. Capitol Police Board.
