In March 1956, an Italian freighter, the Etrusco, ran aground on the shores along the coast of Massachusetts during a storm. Bob Gallagher, with the Scituate Historical Society, recounted the rescue of its 30-man crew and the national attention it brought to the small town of Scituate. This talk was part of the Nantasket Beach Lecture Series and Hull Community Television provided the video. close
