Senate Foreign Affairs Committee Chair Bob Menendez (D-NJ) and Representative Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) spoke at a virtual discussion on Russia under President Putin as part of the McCain Institute’s annual Sedona Forum. They discussed several items, such as Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, whose health was rapidly deteriorating while in prison. Other topics included strengthening sanctions against Russia and how the U.S. should respond if Russia invades Ukraine. Former Russian Deputy Energy Minister Vladimir Milov, a strong opponent of President Putin, also took part in the panel. close
