White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki held a briefing on the Biden administration’s policy agenda and news of the day. She was pressed by reporters on why the White House has not joined calls for a ceasefire in the Israel-Palestine conflict despite bipartisan and international partners doing so. She said the White House is focused on diplomacy to end the violence and deescalate the situation on the ground. She also defended the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s decision to roll back mask guidance, saying the change was based on science not politics. close
