Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said he would oppose creation of a January 6 Commission to investigate the attack on the U.S. Capitol. He said law enforcement and other investigations were already underway, and another was not needed. He called creation of a commission a laughingly partisan effort.
