President Biden and Vice President Harris held a bill signing ceremony for the COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act. Before signing the legislation, the president delivered remarks saying that “hate can be given no safe harbor in America.” In addition, Vice President Harris delivered remarks, thanking lawmakers for their bipartisan efforts. “This bill brings us one step closer to stopping hate not only for Asian Americans but for all Americans,” said the vice president. The event took place in the East Room of the White House. close
