President Biden spoke about renewed efforts to reach his goal of 70 percent of Americans being vaccinated by July 4. He spoke about a vaccination push through the month of June that was to include free child care and transportation to vaccination sites, a paid time-off tax credit to reimburse people who were absent from work, and incentives and giveaways. The president said that “the more people we get vaccinated, the more success we’re going to have in the fight against the virus.” He promised that with more vaccinations Americans would experience “a summer of freedom, a summer of joy, a summer of get-togethers, and celebrations.” close
