Senior Curator William Rasmussen of the Virginia Museum of History and Culture presented a talk titled “Land of Opportunity: The Virginia that Pocahontas Knew.” Mr. Rasmussen discussed what can be learned from a variety of artifacts - including prints of Native Americans, arrowheads, deeds and slave shackles. The program was part of the weekly “Curators at Work” series highlighting selections from the museum’s nearly 9 million items. The museum hosted this event and provided the video. close
