U.S. Capitol Historical Society chief guide and public historian Steve Livengood took viewers on a virtual tour of the Capitol grounds that were designed by landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted in 1874. He showed how many elements from Olmsted’s original design have survived and been adapted as the needs of the complex and Congress have changed. The society hosted this event and provided the video. close
