Vice President Kamala Harris announced an investment of $1.25 billion in COVID-19 relief funding for Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI). The vice president said the money would help community-based financial institutions provide access to capital for small businesses, especially minority and women-owned, that had been hard hit during the pandemic. Joining Vice President Harris was Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, Representative Maxine Waters (D-CA), and Senator Mark Warner (D-VA). close
