The House in a 222-190 vote passed a bill to create a 13-member select committee to investigate the January 6, 2021, attack on U.S. Capitol. All Democrats voted in favor of the resolution, and Representatives Liz Cheney (R-WY) and Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) were the only Republicans who voted for it. Members also worked on amendments to H.R. 3684, the INVEST in America Act, to authorize funds for federal-aid highways, highway safety programs, transit programs, and for other purposes. close
