The White House COVID-19 Response Team gave an update on the COVID-19 Delta variant and vaccination efforts. At the start, COVID-19 Response Coordinator Jeff Zients announced that 70 percent of adults had taken at least one vaccine dose, and 90 percent of senior citizens had received one shot. In addition, Mr. Zients addressed vaccination requirements in the federal government and private sector. CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky and Dr. Anthony Fauci also discussed the spread of the Delta variant. close
