House Democrats from the Administration Subcommittee on Elections released a report on voting rights marking the 56th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Subcommittee Chair G.K. Butterfield (D-NC) outlined the report’s findings, which he said detailed efforts from some communities to make it more difficult for certain groups to vote. Also participating in the virtual event were Representatives Pete Aguilar (D-CA) and Teresa Leger Fernandez (D-NM). close
