The Senate passed a $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill, 69-30. Vice President Kamala Harris read the final vote. All Democrats and 19 Republicans voted for the measure, including Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (KY). Senator Mike Rounds (R-SD) did not vote. Also, the Senate along party lines, 50-49, approved a $3.5 trillion budget resolution. Before the final vote on the resolution, senators voted on more than 40 amendments, with two minutes of debate equally divided prior to each vote. Both bills were sent on to the House. close
