Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas held a press briefing to discuss the situation at the U.S.-Mexico border. Joined by Raul Ortiz, the incoming chief of the U.S. Border Patrol, Mayorkas shared that more than 212,000 migrants were stopped at the southern border in July, an increase from June. He described the situation as, “one of the toughest challenges we face.” close
