The governor said that the current wave of the virus “seems more and more to be a pandemic of the unvaccinated,” and that the state was headed toward a new peak with the virus. He also noted that 97 percent of newly-reported coronavirus cases and 89 percent of hospitalizations were of those who were unvaccinated. When asked if he considered issuing a statewide mask mandate, Governor Reeves said he had “no intention” to do so.
