The Centers for Disease Control’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) voted unanimously to recommend an additional COVID-19 vaccine dose for immunocompromised patients. The recommendation includes the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for those 12 and older and the Moderna vaccine for those 18 and older. This portion of the virtual meeting includes the final vote and comments by advisory committee members. The day before the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) authorized COVID-19 booster shots for vulnerable Americans. close
