State Department Spokesperson Ned Price provided an update on evacuation efforts in Afghanistan one day after a suicide bombing took the lives of more than a dozen U.S. service members. He said that in the past 24 hours approximately 12,500 people had been evacuated, bringing the total to 105,000 since August 14. He added that the United States was still working to evacuate approximately 500 remaining Americans. close
