Defense Secretary Austin and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chair General Milley hosted an observance ceremony on the 20th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks that killed 184 people at the Pentagon, whose names were read aloud during the event. The ceremony included remarks from Secretary Austin and General Milley, the presentation of the colors and the national anthem, and the Military District of Washington Joint Chorus sang “Amazing Grace” and “God Bless America.” close
