The University of Southern California’s Center for the Political Future hosted a virtual discussion on the rising Hispanic electorate and its impact on politics. A panel of experts, including former Los Angele Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa (D, 2005-13) talked about the growing Hispanic population, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and participation in the political process. They also addressed the issues that concern Hispanic communities, such as immigration, the economy, access to health care, and affordable housing. close
