Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Dick Durbin (D-IL) spoke about the findings of an eight-month investigation from the Democratic-led committee into President Trump’s influence on the Justice Department (DOJ) in the days following the 2020 presidential election. He talked about the former president’s attempt to have DOJ officials challenge the results of the election over unsubstantiated reports of voter fraud in certain states. Senate Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Chuck Grassley (R-IA) responded by talking about a report released by minority members of the committee, insisting that the former president followed the advice of his advisers at the time. close
