Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and leadership colleagues spoke to reporters following their weekly conference luncheon. Senator McConnell said he has not been in contact Mark Meadows, former President Trump’s chief of staff, since the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol. The House of Representatives later on the day of this event voted to hold Mr. Meadows in contempt of Congress for refusing to cooperate with the committee investigating the attack. close
