House lawmakers gathered to share their memories and reflect on the first anniversary of the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. Members spoke about how they felt during the day of the attack, thanked law enforcement for their bravery and acts of heroism, and talked about the importance of protecting democracy. Representatives Jason Crow (D-CO), Dan Kildee (D-MI), Mary Gay Scanlon (D-PA), Val Demings (D-FL), Colin Allred (D-TX), Adam Schiff (D-CA), Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), and Joyce Beatty (D-OH) were among the members who shared their personal stories from the day of the attack. close
