Senator Tom Cotton (AR) said the nation was “on the precipice of a constitutional crisis” because a “small band of radicals” were seeking an “undoing of two centuries of tradition” by eliminating the filibuster. He then said the speech he just gave was one previously given Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY). Then, Senator Roy Blunt (MO) said the Senate was designed so that the minority party and the millions of people it represents have a voice. Next, Senator Marsha Blackburn (TN) said Democrats want to eliminate the filibuster to implement a socialist agenda. Finally, Senator Rick Scott (FL) said Democrats only care about “radically transforming this nation into a new socialist state” and would use “any means necessary.” close
