Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo appeared before the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce to testify on funding for expanding broadband included in the bipartisan infrastructure bill. The secretary said one of her top priorities is to ensure affordable access to broadband for everyone. Other topics discussed included broadband map accuracy, connectivity for tribal communities, state and community engagement, funding allocation, and workforce investment. close
