Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and other Senate Republican leaders spoke to reporters in the Capitol following their weekly caucus luncheon. Senator McConnell said he does not support shortening then sentences of those who pled guilty of crimes related to the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol. This comment came after former President Trump during a rally in Texas talked about possibly issuing pardons if he is elected again. close
