President Biden reacted positively to the January jobs report which revealed 467,000 jobs were created despite the surge of the COVID-19 Omicron variant. The president highlighted his administration’s economic record, but said rising prices and inflation remain problems. He also pushed for Congress to pass elements of his social spending plan also known as the Build Back Better agenda, including lowering the cost of insulin and support for child care.
