Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby briefed reporters about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Mr. Kirby praised Ukrainian efforts to push back Russian forces, which continued to progress into the country. He said the Russians were “a few days behind where they expected to be” in their efforts to take over the capital city of Kyiv. He also responded to questions about weapons and humanitarian aid the U.S. is providing to Ukraine. close
