Joined by industry and labor leaders, President Biden announced a new Buy American rule requiring government agencies to purchase more products manufactured in the U.S. The rule requires any goods purchased with taxpayer money to contain 75 percent US-made content, up from the current 55 percent requirement. Siemens USA CEO Barbara Humpton also joined the president and announced an expansion of its domestic manufacturing. The president took no questions from reporters. close
