International law experts discussed the process of punishing war crimes through international criminal courts. Witnesses testified before the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission about the process of investigating war crimes and the potential venues which could be used to prosecute Vladimir Putin for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The commission is named for the late Representative Tom Lantos (D-CA), a Holocaust survivor who served in Congress from 1981 to 2008. close
