The Senate then moved on to debate H.R. 1308, the Religious Freedom Restoration Act. This bill was to expand legal protection for religious activities. SEN. Reid of Nevada has proposed and amendment that would affect how the legislation would affect those who are incarcerated. A vote on the Act was called at the end of this session with with the outcome of 97 Yea, 3 Nay. close
