Current and former White House staff discussed the challenges of the modern presidency. They spoke at at an event hosted by the Bipartisan Policy Center and the White House Correspondents Association. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, and Cedric Richmond, a senior advisor to the president, talked about their roles in the current Biden administration and how they had addressed issues such as COVID-19 and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and their public policy priorities. During a second panel officials from the Clinton, George W. Bush, Obama, and Trump administrations spoke about making difficult choices, communicating with the president, and lessons they learned during their time in the White House. close
