Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby answered reporters' questions on Russian troop movements near Kyiv, Ukraine. He stressed they continue to see a small number of Russian troops re-positioning away from Ukraine’s capital city. As for a 40-mile long Russian convoy that was heading toward the city, Mr. Kirby said he doesn’t know if it still exists because it never accomplished its mission and never delivered any value to Russia. The Russian invasion of Ukraine dominated discussion at the briefing with reporters. close
