President Biden signed an Executive Order that expands access to coverage under the Affordable Care Act, during an event at the White House celebrating the impact of the health care law. Former President Barack Obama joined President Biden and Vice President Harris for the event, marking his first return to the White House since 2017. Before signing the executive order, President Biden spoke on the need to strengthen and expand the Affordable Care Act, as well as the importance of lowering the costs of health care and prescription drugs. close
