During a briefing, Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby said, “we find, unconvincing, Russian claims, that they weren’t involved” in the missile attack on the Kramatorsk train station in the Donetsk region of Ukraine. Mr. Kirby said the missile strike, which claimed the lives of at least 50 civilians, “is again, a piece of the Russian brutality in the prosecution of this war.” Other topics discussed during the briefing were additional military support for Ukraine, China, North Korea, and support for non-NATO countries, like Finland and Sweden, hoping to join the alliance. close
