The House approved workforce development legislation. The measure would authorize $74 billion in funding over the next five years for employee training and education programs. Members also passed 14 suspension bills that were debated earlier in the week. Finally, lawmakers debated two other bills: H.R. 6531 (Targeting Resources to Communities in Need Act of 2022), and S. 2938, which would rename a Tallahassee, Florida courthouse and federal building after Joseph Woodrow Hatchett. close
