Ukrainian Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova reacted to the life sentence verdict for Russian commander Vadim Shishimarin, saying it is the “first result of our everyday job.” Ms. Venediktova said her office is investigating 13,000 cases against Russians accused of war crimes and she vowed to prosecute each one of them. She said that if Russian soldiers “decided to do such atrocities .... we will find everyone,” she told the Washington Post during a virtual discussion hosted by the newspaper. close
