The Finnish and Swedish ambassadors to the United States spoke with the Brookings Institution about their bids to become members of NATO. Since news of their applications, Turkey announced it opposes the two countries' potential memberships. The ambassadors said they are in discussion with Turkey over their concerns. They also discussed Russian aggression in Ukraine, food insecurity and rebuilding Ukraine. close
