Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) explained what is in the bipartisan gun proposal intended to to address mass shootings and other types of gun violence across the nation. The proposal includes support for states to enact “red-flag” laws, expansion of mental health services in all 50 states, and funding for school safety resources, and it allows juvenile record background checks for those under 21.
