The Senate approved 84-14 a House-passed bill to expand access for VA health care and disability benefits to veterans exposed to toxic substances. Members also advanced the nominations of Ana Isabel de Alba to be a U.S. district judge for the Eastern District of California, and Mary Boyle to be a commission on the Consumer Product Safety Commission. They also voted to discharge from the Judiciary Committee Steven Dettelback’s nomination to be director of the Bureau and Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. close
