Nuria Fernandez, administrator of the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), testified on the status of public transportation projects under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, also known as the bipartisan infrastructure law. Members of the Senate Banking Committee questioned the witness on public safety, clean energy practices, and the progress of various regional projects across the country, including bus and rail systems. The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act was signed into law by President Biden in November 2021. close
