West Virginia Senators Joe Manchin (D) and Shelley Moore Capito (R) paid tribute to Marine Corps veteran Hershel “Woody” Williams, who died June 29 at the age of 98. He was the last living Medal of Honor recipient from World War II. He received the honor from President Harry Truman in 1945 for his heroic actions at the Battle of Iwo Jima.
